Equal Opportunity Housing states that all persons should be granted equal opportunities when it comes to purchasing real estate property or renting real estate .Based on anti-discrimination policies and laws set forth by state and federal governments, your opportunity to rent a property cannot be based due to you being a certain race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin.
The Fair Housing Equal Opportunity for All Act states it is illegal to discriminate in the sale or rental of housing, including against individual persons who are attempting to get a mortgage or housing assistance, or other housing-related activities. The Fair Housing Act prohibits the discrimination of persons because of race, color, national orgin, religion, sex, familial status, and disability.
